Here are some new posters, I've been making so many I thought I'd try something a bit new and different. Not sure if they 'work', I can never tell what my own art looks like. It's weird. Thank you Phillip for helping with the photoshop. Anyway, the Deerhoof one and some variations where I try to be a graphic designer:

I'm also trying to do a bit of writing about gender stereotypes and working as a female in the current day, I'm not sure if I'll ever post it as it's hard to get my thoughts in order, but basically when I was DJing on Saturday I was treated so badly by a member of the public that it prompted me to try write about it. As I said, not sure that I'll publish it but we'll see. It just seems like, well, all of my female friends and I are constantly having to prove ourselves and it surprises me every time that we still live in a society like this. I've always just got on with doing what I want to do, being female has had NOTHING to do with it, whether it be art, or music, or anything, but I'm still astonded by the inequality in New Zealand. Or should I say the world. Something to think about? And to the bleached haired drugged up creep- you'll get your comeuppance.

Tim Neale from Brand New Maths and I are DJing at D.O.C. Feb 6th, you should all come along. It's a Saturday, I'm going to play garage rock and soul gems and he's going to play that kind of thing and some 80s stuff too. I also really want to 'drop' some of the new These New Puritans because MAN ALIVE it's good. You'd be a FOOL to miss out. Oh, and it's free! The great poster is by Ben Thomson, check out his stuff.

Did you all have a good Christmas and New Year? I sure hope so. I have a piece in a show in New York in a few weeks, if anyone in internet-land will be in New York you should totally check it out! Wish I could be there for the show but just went and don't have enough green money. Money be green.

I was interviewed for yet another publication, so much attention. This time you can see me in the December issue of NZ Cleo magazine, plus if you buy it you get free weeny lotions for a hot summer bod and a sarong or something which would be awesome, but I left it in the supermarket as I don't really wear sarongs or leave the house in summer. How about this heat huh?
There's a close up so you can read the text. They made me sound way cooler than I actually am!
Here's something else I did the other night- a Christmas t-shirt print for Australian singer Darren Hanlon.

Have you guys heard of Tim Key? Just bought his latest book, it is hands down, HANDS DOWN the funniest book I have ever read.

Mega update! First. I had 5 hours to kill in LAX waiting for my flight so I bought i-D magazine to draw pictures from, it's a favourite of mine, and look! Rob from High Places is wearing my skull t in it! They are so great, High Places.
You can't really tell that much but it's true.
So here are my three prints for Ruby Boutique. They'll be for sale from November 19th until the end of December (Christmas Presents!) and you can read about it in the current Fashion Quarterly Magazine, the next Cleo Magazine and I'm also being interviewed in next weeks Viva, in the New Zealand Herald.
